Synopsis

Spain, 1960. It is the beginning of Spanish development. The industry is readjusted, and many workers are dismissed. Martin is one of them. He lives with his wife, Pilar, and his five-year-old son, Pablo, sharing the basement of his parents, caretakers of the farm. The situation causes that, with the encouragement of Marcos, a friend of Martín, they decide to emigrate to Switzerland, although without a work contract and posing as tourists at the border. Pilar and Pablo leave a year later, joining Martín in a life very different from the one they leave behind. Little Pablo will face drastic changes in a short time: seeing his father leave, changing his country too, growing up in a different environment, learning another language... However, they will have such a happy and comfortable life there that it will be hard to return. to Spain.
