Synopsis

On the coasts of the Spanish Mediterranean there is a continuous wave of immigrants seeking fortune far from their countries of origin. In a neighborhood of Valencia, Berta, a nurse with strong character but with a fragile appearance, and Eduardo, a police inspector who has just arrived in the city, meet. After the savage beating of an immigrant, Eduardo's inquiries lead him to suspect Guillermo, Raúl and Lucía, Berta's nephews.
