Synopsis

Moussa (Djédjé Apali) is a young man from Burkina Faso. He lives in the village where he was born, with his parents, his family and his wife, Fatima. Although he prefers to call her “Bamako”, because it is there, in the capital of Mali, where he met her, before getting married and having her baby, Mamadou. The land gives just enough to eat, but that precarious balance has been broken lately due to the long drought. Driven by the responsibility of helping the family, and after asking the elders of his village for their opinion, Moussa decides to emigrate to Europe.
