Synopsis

Searching for the roots of the so-called "new flamenco", this documentary travels to the Tres Mil Viviendas, the most problematic neighborhood in Seville, where the old gypsies of Triana mix with the new generations of musicians who fuse the most modern trends in music with the deep roots of traditional flamenco. Under the pretext of paying homage to Pepe “El Quemao”, in a massive concert for the first time in the Tres Mil Viviendas, characters of all styles and ages are shown who, throughout the documentary, talk about the daily problems of their neighbourhood, sing, dance, show their peculiar customs and smooth out their rough edges. With the motto "Déjate de paranoias y vente a Las Tres Mil” all of Seville is invited to spend a night of good music with the people of the Polígono Sur. The interracial and multicultural mix that current flamenco trends represent will be unraveled through artists such as Rafael Amador, Juana la del Revuelo, Ramón Quilate, El Varilla and a whole host of artists, from the best known to the anonymous figures who they continue to preserve the most ancient traditions of flamenco artistic expression.
