Synopsis

Antonio (José Coronado) is the director of a high school, in an immigrant neighborhood, who works to prevent its closure and the dispersion of the student body. Judith (Belén López), the new music teacher, will undertake with the growing help of Antonio a hard fight to get her students interested in her subject and feel part of a common project. Among the students are Priya, the Sikh girl who dreams of being a singer, while her family aspires to marry her off as soon as possible; Yassin, Moroccan, independent, teacher's nightmare; Oswaldo, the young Ecuadorian who is torn between his love for his family and the attraction exerted on him by the figure of his older brother, leader of a street gang; Rai, the crippled young gypsy, full of talent, anger and pride; Lucrecia, a beautiful Caribbean woman who aspires to be the protagonist of a soap opera; Bea, the granddaughter of some merchants in the neighborhood who imposes her law in the class; and Wang, a serious and quiet young Chinese man.
