Synopsis

The old Baix Cinca and Segrià roads have been lost and new ones have been opened that continue through Europe and Africa and reach as far as Romania and Ukraine, as far as Mali, Senegal, Cameroon, China and the United States, India. For the past 40 years, the rivers have changed beds and the mountains have been lowered. Trees come from California and men from everywhere. The directions and distances are so different that they no longer serve the usual maps or the stories themselves: men write their end while, unable to avoid it, they erase their beginning. In “La pell de la frontera”, everyone fits: outside and inside, right-handed men, bent-headed men, men who come to stay, and men who want to stay but never finish. The protagonists tell how a world has changed that they do not know for sure if it is theirs, that it caresses and scratches. A world that is his and ours.
